GENERAL NOTES:-

PARKING

There is free onsite parking at the velodrome.

CARAVANS and MOTORHOMES

Should report to Reception before parking up in Car Park 3. There is no charge for this.  Velodrome facilities may be used during opening times.

VELODROME ACCESS

There will be no rider access to the velodrome before 12noon on Thursday 29th June

FOOD   

Food, tea, coffee etc will be available in the track centre. There is a Morrisons supermarket close by where provisions may be obtained.  Morrisons also have a restaurant for hot food. There is a Tesco superstore a little further away.

SPECTATOR SEATING

Spectators may sit in the stands to watch, free of charge.

RIDER’S SEATING

There are a limited number of chairs in the Track Centre. Riders may wish to bring there own camping/fold up chairs.

EQUIPMENT

Rider’s equipment may be left in the track centre during the championships at no charge, but on the understanding that it is at the rider’s own risk.  Riders are advised to secure their equipment when left unattended either during the day, or overnight. However, please consider the needs of others and do not occupy a rider pen when not required.

TRACK WARM UP

Track warm up time is limited to one hour before the the start of the daily session.  Once the racing begins then there will be no further track time available and ‘warm ups’ should be in the track centre warm up area and on your own rollers and/or turbo trainers.

Any practice required before 29th June should be arranged by contacting the velodrome direct.

SIGN ON and ACCREDITATION

On your first day of competition you must sign in on the general Signing On sheet and show your licence.  In return you will be given your race number.  This does not have to be returned at the end of the championships.

Each day that you compete at the championships you must also present to be signed in for the championship race that day.  This must be done by the time indicated on the Order of Events above.

BIKE CHECKS

Bikes  must be UCI compliant and will be checked.  Please allow time for this in your event preparation.

PROGRAMMES

Please print off and bring the Programme of  Events with you as you will not be issued with a printed programme on the day, however, Schedules and Communiques will be posted adjacent to the Sign On/Accreditation desk throughout the championships.

TEAM KIT

Club or team registered kit must be worn when racing.

MEDAL CEREMONIES

Medal Ceremonies will be held throughout the championships.  Please be ready for these if you are placed in the first 3 of any Final. You should present yourself for the ceremony in your club or team’s racing kit - not jeans and tee shirts!  Headgear, sun glasses and other product placements are not allowed.

MASSAGE and REMEDIAL THERAPY

The Official Event Masseuse is Cheryl Owens who will be available to provide pre and post race treatments.

No other persons will be allowed to set up , treat or offer treatment services in the track centre with or without payment, without prior permission and providing recognised proof of competence and insurance cover.

TRADING

No display, or offers for sale, of any goods, cycling related or otherwise, is permitted in the track centre by any person, commercial concern or business without prior permission.
